Under Furniture and Fittings Trades India will be participating in Carpentry and Cabinet Making in World-Skills 2019 at Kazan, Russia at 22 -27 August 2019.

Mode of Candidate Selection:
1. Track 1 – Nomination on National Portal, candidates belonging to states opted for FFSC’s trades
2. Track 2 – Nomination on National Portal, candidates who belongs to states which did not opt for FFSC’s trades
3. Track 3 – Nomination on National Portal, candidates belonging to institutes or wild card entries

States opted for Carpentry:
 J&K
 Punjab
 Chandigarh
 Kerala
 Bihar
 Maharashtra
 Madhya Pradesh
 Haryana

States opted for Cabinet Making:
 Odisha
 Maharashtra
 Gujarat

2 candidates each trade was selected via track 1 competitions hosted by concerned state skill missions at district and state competitions
Track 2 and 3 Competitions were held at Bharitya Skill Development, Jaipur and Caple Industrial Solutions, Bengaluru.
Out of 18 candidates participated in track 2 and 3 competitions 15 candidates were shortlisted on the basis of Jury member decision and marking scheme.
FFSC has got 3 more entries via Institute nominations 2 from NID Ahemadabad and 1 from Bosch India Foundation, Bengaluru under Cabinet Making Trade.

Regional Competitions:

1. West at Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (24,25 and 26 May 2018):
a. Trades = Carpentry and Cabinet Making
b. Carpentry = States participated were Haryana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh with 2 participant each
i. 2 track 2 and 3 candidates participated were from BSDU
c. Cabinet Making = States participated were Gujarat, Odisha and Maharashtra with 2 participants from Gujarat and Odisha and one from Maharashtra
i. 3 track 2 and 3 candidates participated were from Bosch India foundation’s Jaipur ATC
d. Finalists:
i. Carpentry – Mr. Vikash Kumar Naga from BSDU and Runner up – Mr. Amar from Haryana
ii. Cabinet Making – Mr. Rajesh. P.Solanki from Gujarat, first runner up – Mr. Santosh Ojha from Odisha and second runner up – Mr. Amar Prem Kale from Maharashtra
e. Infrastructure support by Caple Industrial Solutions and Bosch India Foundation
f. Jury and Workshop Manager Support by Caple Industrial Solutions, Bhartiya Skill Development University, I.EVO, Bosch India Foundation and NID Ahmedabad

2. North at Indira Gandhi Prathisthan, Lucknow (31 May, 1 and 2 June 2018)
a. Trade = Carpentry
b. States which participated were Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Chandigarh with 2 participants each
c. 2, track 2 and 3 candidates participated were from I.EVO and Hettich
d. Finalists:
i. Carpentry – Winner – Mr. Sukhvir from Punjab and runner up- Mr. Bharat from Chandigarh
e. Infrastructure support by Caple Industrial Solutions
f. Jury and Workshop Manager Support by Caple Industrial Solutions, Bhartiya Skill Development University, I.EVO, and Bosch India Foundation

3. Regional Skill Competition – South, Bengaluru (Date: 21-23 June 2018)
a. Venue: Hall No. 1, BIEC
b. Trades: Carpentry and Cabinet Making
c. Number of Participants:
i. Carpentry: 7 (2 from Kerala, 2 from Bihar, 2 from track 2 & 3 and 1 from wild card entry)
ii. Cabinet Making: 6 from Track 2 & 3 and Wild Card Entry
d. Supporting Partners:
