Live Skill Competition at the Skill Pavilion at IndiaWood 2022
With the aim to inspire & aspire the youth and with the vision to empower the industry with the power of Skills, Live Skill Competition in Carpentry, Cabinet Making, and Joinery was demonstrated at the Skill Pavilion over the course of 5 days by national-level and WorldSkills 2019 participants.

#SkillsStars train with South Korean counterparts
The finalists for WorldSkills 2022 in Cabinet Making and Carpentry were invited by WorldSkills Korea for a 14-day training program in South Korea.

The IndiaSkills 2021 competition winners in the Carpentry, Joinery, and Cabinet Making are all set to make India proud at the WorldSkills 2022 competition.
The Selection Tests are underway with the support of industry partners at Mumbai, Gandhidham, and Udaipur as part of the preparation for the main competition.

The Selection Test -1 for Cabinet Making trade was conducted at Iraj Evolution Design Company (I.EVO), Udaipur, Rajasthan, from 24-26 March 2022.
Trade: Carpentry
The Selection Test -1 for Carpentry trade was conducted at Narsi Interior Infrastructures Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, Maharashtra, from 24-26 March 2022.
Trade: Joinery
The Selection Test -1 for Joinery trade will be conducted from 1-3 April 2022 at Sujan Carnival Furniture, Gandhidham, Gujarat.

The winners of IndiaSkills 2021 are undergoing training and get an opportunity to represent the country at the coveted 46th WorldSkills Competition will be held on October 12-17, 2022, in Shanghai, China. The WorldSkills Competition has become popular over the years and is a global hub for skill excellence, bringing together skilled youth of diverse backgrounds and nations.
We are participating in 3 trades, Cabinet Making, Joinery, and Carpentry.

IndiaSkills 2021 – National Skill Competitions (New Delhi)
The national competition for World Skills was held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 6th to 10th January 2022.
The closed-door competition, organised by National Skill Development Corporation under the guidance of MSDE, witnessed participation in 54 skills such as concrete construction work, beauty therapy, car painting, health and social care, visual merchandising, graphic design technology, wall & floor tiling, welding, among others.
IndiaSkills Competition, which raises the profile and recognition of the youth, brought together over 500 participants from 26 states/ union territories this year. Of the 150+ winners, 59 were awarded gold medals with a cash prize of INR 100,000, 73 were given silver medals with a prize money of INR 75,000 and 53 received bronze medals with a cash prize of INR 50,000. More than 50 participants won the Medallion of Excellence. This year’s IndiaSkills Competition has raised the bar of skill development by witnessing over 2.5 lakh registrations in August-September 2021.
Our Participants are all set to make their space in IndiaSkills 2021 & way forward to WorldSkills at Shanghai to make India shine.
Candidates from the Furniture and Fittings Sector participated in the skill trades of Carpentry, Joinery and Cabinet Making.

Skill Competition for ITI Students at Kochi
Skill competitions bring aspirational value to the key job roles of the industry.
FFSC and Hyfurn Skill Training Society conducted a skill competition for the batch of ITI Students on 21st December 2021 at the ITI Campus in Kalamasserry, Kochi.
The competition was held in two stages with a test project provided by Hyfurn in the form of a modular furniture assembly. Top 4 finalists from the group stage competed for the top position by virtue of the fastest assembly and final project perfection.
The winner of the competition will be sponsored by FFSC to witness the IndiaSkills national competition at New Delhi and inspire the next set of competitors for the WorldSkills competition. Special thanks to our industry partner Hyfurn for supporting FFSC in organising the competition and providing placement opportunities to the previous batch of students.
