We conducted multiple dynamic orientation sessions for Interior Design and ITI students, providing valuable insights into the Furniture & Interior industries, career opportunities, and an overview of furniture manufacturing. Over 65 enthusiastic students participated, learning about job roles and career progression from apprenticeship to full-time employment.

We organized an orientation session at Bal Nandanvan Nisarg Shala, Dahanu, focusing on Furniture & Interiors in collaboration with Swati Interiors, Silvassa. Over 30 students participated, gaining valuable knowledge about the industry and career opportunities.
We conducted several orientation sessions for Civil, Mechanical, and ITI students, providing comprehensive insights into the Furniture & Interior industries. Over 325 students from various institutes participated, learning about job roles and career progression from apprenticeship to full-time employment.

Under the Regional Skill Activity a Training Program for students was held on 5th February 2024 at NSTI Ramanthapur, Hyderabad.
More than 120+ students across various institutes such as NSTI Vidyanagar, Govt ITI Mallepally, Govt ITI Musheerabad, NSTI Ramanthapur participated.
The program highlighted on the power of skills and career opportunities in the Furniture and Interiors sector. Afterwards, Mr. Deepak Gupta a Prominent Industrialist and Mentor led an interactive session with students on Career Excellence through dream alignment. Mr. Chandrakant Diggewadi, the principal of NSTI Ramanthpur, thanked FFSC for hosting the event and extended support to FRSC Hyderabad in his speech.
As part of the FFSC Regional Skill Chapters activities, Furniture & Fittings Skill Council (FFSC) team conducted a Placement drive along with its Industry Partner Pioneer Modular Seating on 13th February 2024 at Govt ITI Mallepally, Hyderabad.
More than 30+ students registered for the placement drive. They received orientation regarding the opportunities in the sector and the career progression path. Following the orientation session, industry panellists conducted a written test, an HR round, and an employer interview. 13 students are been shortlisted.
Academic Partner collaboration with the Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur. Through this partnership, FFSC and Vivekananda Global University will connect the young professionals to the apprenticeship and job opportunities in the Furniture and Interiors industry. Activities like skill orientation and placement drives will benefit the students and the industry players looking for the right talent. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by the FRSC Jaipur Flagbearer & FFSC industry partners at the Vivekananda Global University on 06th January 2024.
Team FFSC participated in the Skill Manthan exhibition organized by NATIONAL CADET CORPS - India at DG NCC Campus (Cariappa Parade Ground) on 18th January 2024. During the event, more than 400+ NCC Cadets from senior and junior divisions were oriented about the exciting world of Interiors and Furniture.
During the exhibition, cadets comprehensively understood the career progression in the Furniture and interior industry, also about the COE Program and engagement for learners. The cadets were given information about the job roles and more.
FFSC Conducted Skill Test for 70+ students across three institutes in Hyderabad, namely Govt ITI Mallepally, Govt ITI Musheerabad, and NSTI Vidyanagar campus from 10th January to 12th January 2024.
The primary objective of the skill test is to shortlist the candidates for its first batch at FFSC Centre of Excellence (COE), Hyderabad. FFSC conducted a skill test to evaluate candidates' potential in mastering woodworking basics. The test covered written assessments, group discussions, and final interviews. The test has been conducted to evaluate a learner’s basic mathematical skills, aptitude, and willingness to learn and work in the Furniture industry.
FFSC conducted an engaging Orientation Session at Govt. ITI Sanganer, Jaipur, where over 80+ enthusiastic students of 2nd-year from various trades delved into the vast opportunities within the Furniture & Interiors Industries. From insightful discussions to sparking apprenticeship awareness, the session aimed at paving the way for a brighter future in this dynamic sector.
FFSC held an engaging skill Orientation Session for over 500 students from NSTI Vidya Nagar, NSTI Women Vidyanagar, NSTI Ramanthpur, Govt ITI Murshidabad, and Govt ITI Mallepally. These sessions offered an enriching experience filled with interactive discussions and hands-on learning. The students were given an overview of the sector and the job and apprenticeship opportunities awaiting them in the industry.The skill tests was also conducted for every participants.

Skill orientation for the more than 35+ students of NSTI students was conducted at NSTI Hyderabad. The orientation gave information about the furniture, interiors, and allied sector and the opportunity available. The Students were also given the Practical information about various machine at FFSC COE.

Furniture & Fittings Skill Council participated in the Skill Manthan exhibition organized by NCC at DG NCC Campus (Cariappa Parade Ground) on 26th and 27th September 2023. During the event, more than 800 NCC Cadets from both senior and junior divisions were oriented about the exciting world of Interiors and Furniture.
This orientation session was great, capturing the attention of 800+ NCC Cadets, eager to explore the world of Interiors and Furniture. During the exhibition, cadets gained a comprehensive understanding of furniture tools and training programs, sparking keen interest.

The Kerala Vidyabhyasa Vikasa Kendra (KVK) & Kerala Central University joinly organised the "Gyanotsav 1198" event at the Central University Campus in Kasargod on 6,7& 8th July 2023.
The event was organized as an educational conclave for the implementation of NEP 2020. FFSC participated the event and extended its support for faster implementation of NEP 2020. FFSC also felicitated the Vidyanikethan Schools for successfully conducting orientation program for schoolchildren. The Union Minister of State for Education, Smt. Annapoorna Devi, presented the felicitations on behalf of the Furniture & Fittings Skill Council (FFSC). Vidyabharathi All India Joint Secretary Mr. NCT Rajagopal and Mr. AS Arun, representing the Vidyanikethan schools, received the felicitations from the hon’ble minister. Kerala Central University Vice Chancellor Dr. H Venkateshwralu and Mr. Prasanth P, FFSC, were also present at the event.
Skill Orientation on Furniture & Interiors Sector for 100+ Students in Kerala Date 1st July 2023
We are excited to announce that we recently conducted a skill orientation on the furniture and interiors sector for over 100 students in two schools in Kerala, Sree Saraswathy Vidyalayam, Keezharoor and Sree Sankara vidyapeedom, Manikandeswaram.
The event was aimed at highlighting the importance of skills in the furniture and interiors sector, which is a growing industry in India. We discussed the different skills that are important in this sector, such as woodworking, Installation etc. We also talked about the soft skills that are essential for success in any career, such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
The students were very engaged in the event and asked many questions. We were happy to answer their questions and provide them with information about the furniture and interior sector. We hope that the event inspired the students to pursue a career in this field.
During the Jan Bhageedari event, from 1st to 15th June, FFSC team visited the ITI and design Institutes for student orientations.

We have given career orientation sessions for Interior design students of Golden Cross & Cindrebay both our Academic MoU partners.
At the Govt ITIs we have given the orientation of Furniture and Interior Industry and taught them to register in our TAJ portal for career opportunities. Orientation was given to all of them about the apprenticeship portal especially Industry demanding courses like General Asst. Furniture Fittings Asst Carpenter, so the advantages of the optional trades were explained.
At Chalakudy Govt ITI, after the student orientation, an MoU was signed by the Principal In charge and handed over to us.
At the Ettumanoor ITI, we had an Industry expert speaker also, our Industry Partner Mr. Prasanth Kurian, Managing Partner of ELBA Interiors gave an entrepreneur motivation session for the students.
The Govt ITI Ottapalam is the Scheduled Caste Development Department of Kerala State and has only one trade – Carpentry. We have given orientation about career opportunities and students were so curious to get jobs anywhere in India and ready for apprenticeships in other states as well.
At Govt ITI Mala, Thrissur District, FFSC attended placement drive on 23rd June, for FFSC Industry partners like Woodec Works. Mr. Shaji MK, Managing Partner of the company also gave an orientation and pre placement talk with the students. During the process of selection of apprentice trainees, there was a written test and interview. 5 candidates were finally suggested for Optional trade apprentices (General Assistant- Furniture & Fittings) and 2 candidates as Interior design trainees.
FFSC participated in 'Kaushal Mahotsav' on 6th November 2022 at Kamakhyanagar, Dhenkanal, Odisha.

During the Culmination event of Furniture Skills Global Conclave (FSGC) on 16th September 2022, an MOU was signed with Instalco WIFY under which the latter has committed to providing job opportunities to 1200 trained installers over the next two years.
